Purpose: To demonstrate differential pressure.

A round glass container with hole on one side and a hole with a lip on the other, and a balloon.

Put the balloon in the container and stretch the opening over the lip. Blow up the balloon. Plug the hole in the bottom with a stopper before you remove your mouth from the balloon. The balloon will not deflate even though the balloon is still open!
